You have brilliant graphics and first rate printing and the whole thing looks fantastic – but now you need to actually display it. There is no point taking all your hard work and pinning it to a wall and if you are going to be displaying the banner in the middle of a busy trade show there are unlikely to be any convenient walls there anyway.
Thankfully, in answer to most of these issues there is the banner stand. So what is it and what does it do? Quite simply, banner stands are free standing frameworks that will hold a banner in place, keeping it stretched and tidy and displayed at just the right height. Good banner stands are strong, and well weighted to stop them being knocked over or, if they are being used outside, blown down. They should also be adjustable since sometimes the stand will be used on a raised platform and sometimes it will be on the same level as the passing audience. There is no point in having a brilliant banner if it is placed out of the line-of-sight of the people that you want to see it.
Another important thing to think about is portability. Your banner stands are temporary structures and as such will have to be moved from place to place. Look for one that folds down nicely and is easy to re-assemble. Make sure that when it is assembled it is solid and doesn’t feel like it is about to collapse and make sure it is bottom heavy and won’t topple over. The good ones allow you to fill the base with sand or water so that they are light to transport but have the extra weight there when you really need it.
